The rapid manufacturing of the y-20's fuselage/main landing gear connector and the large main load-bearing components is also done by 3D printing.


Facing the great challenge by 3D printing technology, metal injection molding technology’s advantage has been limited to mass production. Regarding design evaluation and prototype, 3D printing is much preferred. In future, the combination of metal injection molding technology and 3D printing technology will be the development trend in a long time.
